Obstacle Confidence Building Clinic

Do you want to build a better relationship with your horse? Here is your chance! No matter your discipline, riding style, if you compete or not; this clinic can help you and your horse build a better relationship!

By helping your horse overcome and work through insecurities it can take your relationship to a new level. You do not have to ride to participate in this clinic - it is here to help develop a better relationship between you and your equine, build their curiosity and trust, emotional control work, precision and accuracy, etc. which can all be done on the ground and under saddle. Part of the goal is to encourage curiosity over fear for our equines with different techniques and levels of obstacles from beginner through more advanced. Cristin wants you to leave with a better relationship and the ability to complete obstacles with level heads and accuracy for both you and your horse.

We will be addressing basic groundwork in the morning followed by all obstacles on the ground prior to under saddle. From there if you and your equine are ready (per Cristin’s discretion) we will be doing some saddle work and finish off the session addressing obstacles while using the tools you were taught to confidently handle them.

In the morning you will need a rope halter with a lead line, hybrid halter, caveson, or choice of appropriate training gear; you may also need a whip / stick and string, or a flag (it’s your preference - can be a dressage whip). Helmets are REQUIRED for all riders! After our lunch break, if you plan to ride please come tacked up with your bridle readily available in the afternoon. You will revisit obstacles on the ground and at your and Cristin’s discretion mount up!

Auditors are WELCOME and encouraged! Auditing is $15! Auditors and Participants please pack a lunch - the closest restaurants are about 15 minutes away.
